Are you a teacher looking for a rustic alternative to the usual School visit in the great outdoors?
Copsegrove Farm in Bisley, near Stroud, has built a reputation for children to experience fun hands-on learning days with tailored curriculum linked activities in the context of a working farm.
Now with the added option for an amazing overnight camp!
Oakridge KS2 children (Y3-6) have just returned from their third camping trip to Copsegrove! We would highly recommend the experience to others because not only does it promote fantastic team building activities for the children at the beginning of the year but it has also enabled us to tie in our topic, which is cross-curricular and always exciting. This time we were tribes and celebrated the Wild West. A memorable experience the children will never forget. Thank you Kate.
About your Day with Us
Visits are suitable for groups up to a maximum of about 30, for reception all the way up to year 6.
School visits days are tailored for each group, and are run by Kate Bankes, an experienced qualified teacher with a passion for outdoor education and farming.
Kate will discuss the programme for the day in advance with teaching staff. Full risk assessment is provided, and in certain cases limited funding may be available from Natural England. See our Teacher Resources page for more information and costs which typically range from £6 to £9 per day per child, depending upon class size and programme chosen.
Facilities are basic, but include a pair of composting ‘loos with a view’ complete with bucket of wood shavings which the children love, and hot water from flasks with copious amounts of anti-bac soap in plastic bowls for hand washing.
